Children are the absolute most fun, yet most challenging to photograph.. as a photojournalist I try to fulfill the idea of "moments unfolding." Children, by purely being children, are a dreamy immediate scenario of just this.

February morning desperate to find an interesting subject to photograph..the tourist viewer almost works as my human element; almost.
This photo was taken in 1966. That's me, center with my mom..I love everything about this photo..the adirondack chair, the color of the aging photo paper, the scratches, my face, her face.. the watermelon in the faceless children's hands. In one small deteriorating photo I can sense summer and youth and family..

I recently found an untitled folder including 55 photos of Barbie and friends sets created by daughters Kelsey and Allie. Now 18 and 16 years old its fun to look back in time and remember vividly the hours they devoted to imagination..I am thankful I documented most of it..I love Ken's shirt, and the little girl in the background with the dog..some of it is eerily accurate..
Assignment yesterday involved photographing inmates who train puppies for 6 weeks. Subsequently the pups are house trained, socialized and ready for adoption..
Sibling pups Scout and Nova (pictured below) displayed their unconditional love to the media, well, at least sleeping Nova did.
This winter scene on York's Long Sands Beach taps into an immediate mood. The next shot I took I moved to the point where the waves were crashing over the road, to freeze the action.. this shot was better.
"Playing with light" defines what I do for a living, well, sort of.. ! Helps that my models were perfect in their manner and acting ability..

Santorum during a town hall gathering in New Hampshire.. what I really like about this shot is the guy to the right.. the way he is transfixed, if only briefly, (as he was a working photog )
Sweet moment when photographing the owner (of a doggie daycare business) and her pup. The series of photos taken were typical as biz photos go..this particular shot the owner became genuine in her comfort with help from "Moe"
