A wedding on the St. Lawrence River! A chance to document an extraordinary wedding of one Italian boy and his American girl hinged with seeing my family (am a northern NY native) I am fortunate.. truly!

I chose a photo I took back in the day of class and portfolio work.. having nothing to do with my coming words albeit the phrase "its bananas" would work.
Having photographed so many brides, so many wedding days I feel compelled to highlight an ongoing phenomenom: fathers of brides who lose sight of their daughters' wedding day and the importance of that first sight of his "little" girl in her wedding dress.
Fathers out there: don't worry about details, don't worry about how you look, don't worry about $$, don't worry about smiling for the camera.. feel the moment, that first sight, let the slideshow run through your mind; from your daughters birth to her wearing braces, to her graduation and everything in between and see her, and react to this moment. It is so important to her.

Assignment: Nubble Light Challenge. Fundraisingly swimming a crazy distance through the Atlantic..involving a turn around nubble light, cold water (60 degrees) waves.. (sharks seen in neighboring waters mind you) : crazy talk. These first wave athletes were pumped and adrenaline-ish until a communications problem ensued (no radio contact with safety boats) and they were asked to return to the shore and wait it out..hence the pic below this text..
